Graphic: Butcher stabs his fellow Butcher to death in Enugu

The Enugu state police command has arrested a butcher, Michael Kingsley, pictured above, for stabbing his fellow butcher, Ifeanyi Egwuagu, to death at the Artisan Quarters in Ogui, Enugu state on Sunday, January 14th. While the deceased was a goat butcher, the suspect was a fowl butcher all at Artisan market in Ogui, Enugu state.
According to reports, the suspect had gone to drink beer with another butcher named Ogidi and after having their drinks, the suspect and Ogidi left for his house. While at his place, Ogidi asked him to buy more drinks for them to take. His refusal caused a fight between himself and Ogidi. The deceased who lives closeby, rushed down to separate them during the fight and it was in the process that he was stabbed twice with a broken bottle by the rib side and his abdomen.
Ifeanyi fled the scene initially but was later apprehended and handed over to the police. He says it was never intentional that he stabbed his friend and fellow butcher. He is currenly cooling his heels in police custody and will soon be arraigned in court.
Meanwhile, the operatives not leaving any stone unturned in relation to bringing the alleged suspect who had allegedly taking to his heels to book, swung into action and through intelligence information, promptly nabbed the alleged murderer identified as Michael Kingsley who claimed he is from Ubaho in Nkanu East local Government Area of Enugu state but residing at Artisan Quarters in Ogui axis of Enugu.
