Ex-Arsenal star Lukas Podolski becomes a Shawarma seller in his home country Germany (Photos)

Former Germany, Arsenal and Bayern Munich striker,  Lukas Podolski has launched a new kebab 'Shawarma' restaurant in the city of Chlodwigplatz, adding to his clothing store and the ice cream parlour he already has in his business portfolio.
The 32-year-old who currently plays for Vissel Kobe in the J.League in Japan opened the kebab shop which attracted over 1,000 hungry fans who queued to witnessed the launch of the restaurant over the weekend.
Explaining his business plan, he said: "You eat doner kebabs when you're young, when you're still playing and when you've finished playing – it's a perfect solution."
